Marks & Spencer outsources to Tata Consultancy Services

Marks & Spencer has consolidated application development services on its legacy applications with India-based outsource supplier Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
A spokesman for the retailer said, "We had three offshore suppliers working alongside our IT development team. All of this work will now be performed by one offshore supplier, TCS.
"The changes are necessary to support our strategic IT programmes, such as the continued investment in our point of sales and warehousing systems, so that we have improved predictability, better quality and lower risk in delivery of programmes and projects."
