Microsofthas suspended the
distribution of aWindows Vistasoftware update after
users experienced problems on their computers following
installation.
Nick White, Windows Vista product manager, said on
his blog, "We have heard a few reports about problems customers
may be experiencing as a result of KB937287, the servicing stack
update Immediately after receiving reports of this error, we made
the decision to temporarily suspend automatic distribution of the
update."
White said that this problem only affects a small number of
customers in "unique circumstances" and the company is working on a
solution.
KB937287,
which is the servicing stack update, and KB938371, which is a
multi-component update, are both required before installing Windows
Vista SP1.
Both of the Windows Vista SP1 prerequisites are marked
"Important" and will install automatically if you have Window
Updates set to the recommended configuration.
