Medical equipment distributor and service contractor
Endoscopy UK is saving more than £20,000 a year by integrating its
ERP and CRM systems to improveoperational efficiency.
The company has reduced its service backlog by almost half since
implementing an integrated suite of
business management software to track people and processes and
improve visibility of parts being used for repairs.
"We have reduced the average number of days outstanding on
repairs from 30 to 18 days," said Keith Davis, general manager at
Endoscopy UK.
He said this reduction was important because every outstanding
repair meant that the company had to provide the client with a loan
endoscope.
"When you have 200 to 300 endoscopes for repair at any one time,
you are talking up to £3m worth of loan equipment to offset that,"
he said.
Davis said the Netsuite business management software had enabled
the company to have a much better picture of what is going on in
the service department and was expected to help reduce the service
log even further.
"The software has enabled us to measure where we are on a
day-to-day basis and being able to measure it means we can control
it, which we were not able to do before," he said.
Endoscopy UK chose the Netsuite software because of level of
integration it offered as well as the process visibility it enabled
and the fact that it was web-based.
"It is a big business advantage to enable field engineers and
sales representatives throughout the UK to pick up information via
the web as opposed to trying to connect to systems using a dial-up
access," Davis said.
