UK building services contractor Haden Young has
implementedworkforce management softwareto
eliminate manual time sheets and ensure the accuracy of payrolls of
all site-based employees.
The
Kronos
Workforce Central software will manage the time and attendance
of more than 1,000 on-site employees at more than 45 sites and link
to Haden Young's existing Redsky IT Payroll system.
Haden Young selected the Kronos product above others on the
shortlist because it included biometric finger print scanners, and
because of its ability to integrate with the company's payroll
system.
The system collects information directly from site offices and
all clocking information is available centrally at Haden Young's
headquarters within 20 seconds, compared with two hours using the
previous system.
Shaun Nolan, the IT analyst responsible for the project, said
that at the 18 sites that Haydon Young had already deployed
biometric readers, the Kronos system had eliminated any possibility
of employees clocking in on behalf of others.
"Using biometric readers ensures we have accurate records of who
is on site for health and safety reasons and for this reason the
use of the technology is supported by industry unions," he
said.
