Cisco's WebEx MeetMeNow service has
been enhanced with video conferencing features and integration with
theMicrosoftOffice productivity
suite.
The updated
on-demand conferencing service makes it easier for users to
configure their cameras for meetings, and jump from one participant
to another in virtual roundtables.
The technology costs £25 per month.
Cisco owns WebEx, which provides the service over its own
network.
Cisco completed its £1.6bn acquisition of WebEx in May, moving
the networking giant into closer competition with Microsoft in
unified communications and collaboration.
Cisco's chief development officer Charles Giancarlo said the
company's plans include integrating Cisco's voice and video
products into the WebEx offering.
