The International Association of Software Architects
(IASA) has announced the first corporate training body for IT
architects.
IASA has announced the first training curriculum for practicing
infrastructure, software and
business architects.
IASA said the online offering is based on experience from
training efforts in professions such as medicine and law.
Although colleges and universities provide an academic grounding
in computers and information technology, IASA said it is the only
organisation that has a training plan for practicing IT architects
at all levels.
IASA's training programme is designed for junior-level through
to advanced architects interested in advancing their own skills and
learning new techniques. It is expected appeal to training
departments of large organisations that have been under-served,
said IASA.
The programme will be launched in January 2008, with 88 courses
delivered by December 2008.
The programme provides courses covering business technology
strategy, IT environment and management, quality attributes, human
dynamics, and design.
