This year's conference held by theSkills Framework for the Information Age(SFIA) will be focused on user experience of IT skills management.

Organisers say the event will be useful to IT directors who want to improve their organisations' IT skills and capability.

Keith Aldis, CEO of the IT service management forum, is giving the keynote speech, and Ron McLaren, SFIA operations mananger, said user experience will be a strong thread throughout the event.

He said that SFIA will also be announcing what action it is taking to support ProCom, the IT professional competency model aiming to provide professional qualifications in IT.

There will also be workshops on tracking human assets and skills, IT professionalism, and capability management.

The conference will be held at the Department for Business, Enterprise, and Regulatory Reform on Victoria Street.
