Oracleis acquiring Interlace Systems, a provider of strategic operational planning software, which will extend Oracle's Enterprise Performance Management System.

A part of the enterprise performance management (EPM) market segment, Interlace Systems software helps organisations quickly and collaboratively combine functional processes to address strategic operational planning needs.

Its software uses a change-based data modelling server, connecting operational plans in an integrated model and allowing business planners to address business changes.

The combination of Interlace Systems' technology and Oracle's Enterprise Performance Management System, will provide a common platform across financial and strategic operational planning through an integrated business-planning framework, said Oracle.

The Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System is a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, targeted at service oriented architectures.

The transaction is expected to close next month, said Oracle. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
