Consumers who choose not to use credit cards
whenshopping onlineare set to benefit
from the launch of higher-value internet cash
vouchers.
Ukash, the UK-based company that introduced cash payments to
global online transactions, has increased the maximum value of a
single voucher purchased at PayPoint terminals in the UK from £100
to £499.
"The £499 voucher value will bring greater convenience to our
customers currently using Ukash to shop, play and pay online,
improving the consumer purchasing experience, and making it easier
to buy higher-value goods and services online", said Mark
Chirnside, Ukash chief executive.
The availability of the £499 voucher from PayPoint's more than
16,000 outlets across the UK will also be attractive to internet
retailers looking to embrace the millions of UK consumers who are
currently excluded from shopping online, he said.
The new higher limit Ukash voucher does not have to be used all
at once, as change in the form of a new voucher is given for any
unspent portion.
A
set of free tools at the Ukash website make it easy to combine
smaller value Ukash into a single, higher value voucher, or to
split a voucher into a number of smaller value vouchers, or to
convert a voucher's currency.
