Research in its June 2007 analytical report,Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools,
2007.
The Magic Quadrant is a graphical representation of a marketplace
at and for a specific time period. It depicts Gartner's analysis of
how certain vendors measure against criteria for that marketplace,
as defined by Gartner.
According to the Gartner report, companies are increasingly
recognising that data quality has a fundamental impact on their
most strategic initiatives and are raising the visibility of data
quality activity within their enterprise information management
programs. Though compliance and transparency remain top of the
agenda, ensuring the realisation of expected benefits from
investments in
business intelligence and master data management remain an
important driver.
