The business value of
mobile communications has increased significantly in the past
two years as
costs have fallen and devices have improved, said specialist
project management company
Total Communications Infrastructure (TCI).
TCI is a global project management group that provides
construction services to the telecommunications and wind energy
industries. Each TCI project engineer manages up to 40 construction
sites at a time, relying heavily on mobile communications.
“Two years ago, mobile communications were still too expensive
to drive any real value, but T-Mobile led the way in slashing UK
mobile data price packages to practical levels,” said Guy Avery,
systems development manager for TCI.
Avery said that since switching to T-Mobile two years ago, TCI
had reduced communication costs by 30% and seen huge gains in
productivity and efficiency. “T Mobile has tailored a package takes
into account the profile of our users.”
