The London Stock Exchange (LSE) has begun transferring
150 outsourced IT service delivery staff from partner Accenture to
its own workforce.
The 150 workers have vital knowledge, which the LSE wants to
secure for the future, according to an LSE spokesman.
“Our four year technology road map completes on June 18
when Tradelect goes live and we felt this was time to review
how we source our technology going forward,” he said. “There will
be very little practical change because many of the Accenture staff
have been with us for years and we are just transferring
contracts.”
Accenture will continue to work on software development for the
exchange, and has signed a new contract for this area lasting until
2010.
The spokesman said that by bringing the staff in-house the LSE
will secure the knowledge for the future.
