Iomega has launched its
OfficeScreen managed security service products
for small and medium-sized enterprises in Europe.
The products are already available in the US and will be
available in the UK and beyond through Iomega’s channel partners,
including telecom providers.
Officescreen is designed to provide enterprise-quality perimeter
security and secure remote access for
SME enterprise networks, helping to protect small businesses
from data theft and liability.
SMEs use Officescreen as a secure, outsourced network security
and VPN service. Such a system is less expensive as it doesn’t
require upfront hardware expenses, dedicated IT resources or large
IT budgets.
OfficeScreen’s firewall/VPN, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and IPSec
(IP security) bundles help create secure wide area networks that
connect remote offices and workers to applications and data at a
company’s headquarters, while keeping out hackers.
The market Iomega is entering is now becoming crowded, with the
likes of BT already offering such services to SMEs.
