Micro Focus and IBM team up to ease integration

Thursday 03 May 2007 04:52

Micro Focus has partnered with IBM to integrate its Mainframe Express Enterprise Edition with IBM’s service-orientated architecture (SOA) software.

Mainframe Express is a unified environment for mainframe development and is used to create, maintain and test Cobol, Cics and IMS applications.

Adding compliance with SOA standards enables Mainframe Express to immediately link to all IBM software for SOAs.

Micro Focus said this would result in reduced project times and complexity, and easier integration with IBM Websphere Application Server and IBM Websphere Enterprise Service Bus.

The two companies have also partnered to launch a new set of training courses for mainframe systems and applications developers.
