Microsoftis
distributing five security patches today affecting the Windows OS
and its server products.
There are four patches for Windows with the maximum security
rating deemed to be “critical” by Microsoft.
There is another critical patch for Microsoft Content Management
Server.
A critical rating means the security hole can be exploited by
remote attackers with no interaction needed by users.
Microsoft distributed another critical patch before the Easter
bank holiday weekend, to tackle a separate critical security glitch
in the Windows OS.
This patch was distributed ahead of the latest batch as it was
rapidly being exploited in the wild.
In addition to the security patches, Microsoft is also today
distributing a number of “high-priority” non-security updates for
the Windows OS.
