Check Point Software Technologies has launched ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 7.0 with a more powerful anti-virus detection engine.

Zone Alarm 7.0 has an anti-virus engine that detects and removes a wider variety of threats than previous versions, using hourly signature updates to ensure greater protection against emerging attacks.

Check Point said the more robust anti-spyware in the suite provided an additional layer of defence against blended threats. The suite’s OSFirewall has also been updated with malware blocking capabilities, stopping spyware, rootkits, keyloggers and other threats.

Finally, a new Auto-Learn mode automatically configures security settings based on the user’s unique PC environment and behaviour, making ZoneAlarm easier for new users to run by reducing the number of alerts a user may experience.

The ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite costs £35 for a single user; a three-user pack costs £50.
