Business integration and optimisation company WebMethods and outsourcer Wipro have formed a technology alliance targeting the utility sector.

The two companies have agreed to work together to develop solutions using WebMethods’ flagship product suite WebMethods Fabric.

Vivek Bhasin, vice-president for e-business and business intelligence at Wipro, said, “WebMethods Fabric adds a robust and proven platform for capturing and packaging our best practices, which can then be easily redeployed on a customised basis across multiple implementations for maximum efficiency.”

WebMethods Fabric delivers integration and optimisation via a service oriented architecture-based toolset. It is designed for integrating disparate systems and trading partner networks, managing complex business processes, and proactively monitoring service levels from both an IT and business perspective.
