IBM and Microsoft have joined forces to offer e-mail
archiving software based on Microsoft Windows Server and IBM
hardware, software and partner services.
As part of the agreement, Microsoft, through its business
partners, will recommend IBM storage and software to its customers
for email archiving solutions.
IBM, in turn, will have access to Microsoft’s partner network to
market and install IBM’s storage and email archiving software in
Windows customer environments.
IBM will also help assist Microsoft partners to provide complete
e-mail archiving solutions that use Windows Server, and help
customers better integrate archiving solutions within their Windows
environments.
One product offered by IBM as part of the agreement will be
available in the first quarter of 2007, with a starting list price
of £28,000.
