Oracle has released a quarterly patch update that fixes
23 security vulnerabilities in its databases, servers and business
applications.
Seven of the 23 patches fix flaws in the company’s flagship
Oracle 10g database. Patches are also included for the Oracle 9i
and Oracle 8i database servers.
In addition, PeopleSoft Enterprise Tools and PeopleSoft CRM have
patches, as does the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/OneWorld XE product.
These were acquired by Oracle as part of its takeover of PeopleSoft
at the beginning of the year.
Some of the patches are cumulative and some are not, so users
should make sure they have installed previous patches to protect
their systems fully.
The next Oracle security patch update is due in mid-January
2006.
