Hewlett-Packard has cancelled its user conference in New
Orleans.
The HP Technology Forum was due to take place on 12-15
September, but that is clearly impossible in the wake of Hurricane
Katrina. HP said it was trying to reschedule the conference for
some time this autumn. It plans to make an announcement about the
location and timing of the event on 9 September.
All hotel bookings made for the event via HP have been cancelled
and full refunds will be given. However, attendees who had booked
non-refundable flights to the event may have problems getting their
money back.
