Microsoft is working on a fix for a flaw in its Remote
Desktop Services that can lead to a denial-of-service attack
against certain Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003
systems.
Microsoft said it would decide whether to rush out a security patch
ahead of its planned monthly security update in August.
Meanwhile, Firefox, the open-source browser, has been updated for
the second time in just over a week to fix flaws.
Version 1.0.6 of Firefox has been released by The Mozilla
Foundation, which discovered that version 1.0.5 broke important
application extensions, including e-mail encryption options.
There have now been more flaws in the Firefox browser this year
than in Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
