Enterprise management applications provider BMC Software
has introduced the BMC Identity Management Suite and unveiled a
global blueprint for it, focusing on integration.
BMC’s goal is to to offer integrated product suites to tackle
regulatory compliance, identity federation and rapid
implementation, and support connectivity with in-house and
third-party applications.
Central to effective business service management, the BMC
Identity Management Suite focuses on the allocation and management
of identity and access rights of internal and external users.
BMC said the suite could associate different types of users –
such as employees, partners, suppliers and customers – to
processes, systems and business services. This fits into the
company’s business service management model for on-demand
computing, where software is treated as a service.
Somesh Singh, vice-president and general manager of BMC's
identity management business, said, "Linking people, processes and
systems that support operations while adapting to how business is
conducted truly enables business service management."
