Microsoft has announced details of its new Windows
software update services for enterprises, designed to make it
easier for companies to patch their systems.
Microsoft chief executive officer Steve Ballmer released details
of the new service at this week’s Microsoft TechEd conference in
the US.
Ballmer announced the immediate availability of Windows Server
Update Services and Microsoft Update.
He also announced the upcoming availability of Microsoft
Baseline Security Analyzer 2.0 and the Systems Management Server
2003 Inventory Tool for Microsoft in the summer.
In addition, Microsoft plans to release a new version of Windows
Update – version 6.0 – to ensure customers can keep their computers
up to date. Windows Update 6 adds minor usability improvements.
