A US oil giant formed by the merger of Exxon and Mobil is integrating its operations around SAP's e-commerce solution, SAP.com.

MySAP.com will be Exxon Mobil's primary backbone as it consolidates its 100,000-employee global business.

Jerry Kohlenberger, president of Exxon Mobil Global Services said, "By consolidating and upgrading all systems to mySAP.com, we will tighten synergies around the globe and streamline business processes."

Kyle Bowker, senior VP of SAP's US process industries sector said mySAP.com offers control from the well head to the pump.

"The system allows very complex business processes to be integrated across the supply chain," said Bowker. "In traditional supply chain automation you realise efficiencies within the organisation or through integration. Being Web-enabled it [mySAP.com] allows collaborative planning with your suppliers and customers."

In Europe, mySAP.com will support service station retailing. The roll out will also include the Human Capital Management and mySAP.com Workplace modules.
