White Hat Ball raises more than £80,000 for ChildLine

The 4th annual White Hat Ball, held on January 23 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, collected over £80,00 for youth counseling service ChildLine.

The 4th annual White Hat Ball, held on January 23 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, managed to raise £87.107 for its chosen charity ChildLine, a youth counselling service which is now part of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).

The event attracted nearly 600 guests, including CISOs from most of the country's large organisations, plus representatives from the vendor and academic community.

Proceedings were helped along by Neil and Christine Hamilton, who act as ChildLine ambassadors and who worked hard all evening to persuade those present to dig deep in their pockets to help the ChildLine organisation.

Last year's event raised £60,000 from 500 guests. The new money, according to ChildLine, will help the organisation answer 21,750 calls from vulnerable children in need of help, advice and support.
