Premier league football club, Everton, is using enterprise cloud computing firm, Salesforce.com's Sales Cloud and Force.com to integrate business information and develop custom applications.
Using Sales Cloud, Everton FC has introduced real-time reporting and integrated information from administration, sales, management and marketing personnel departments onto a common database platform. This allows staff to more easily access relevant information to meet customer demands, said the football club.
Stephen Fell, Everton FC's head of IT, said: "We'd been looking for a good CRM system for a couple of years as a way of making the business more efficient and to deliver a high quality of service to our customers.
"We selected the Sales Cloud to run our customer management processes and Force.com for building custom apps because of their rich functionality. We recognised that these are used by large multi-nationals, so a business of Everton's size is able to benefit from all the features used by the likes of Starbucks and Dell."
Everton FC also use Force.com to build custom hospitality management systems. Phil Brining, CRM and data consultant to Everton FC said Force.com provides a highly functional and rich platform to build tailor-made applications upon.
"All the factors that have been difficult and troublesome when we've deployed systems in the past simply haven't existed. We're only beginning on the journey of discovering the full potential of what salesforce.com has to offer," Brining said.
