Microsoft unveils first application for Apple's iPhone

Antony Savvas

Microsoft has released its first application for the Apple iPhone to improve image browsing.

The Seadragon Mobile application brings the same smooth image browsing you get on a PC to the mobile platform, says Microsoft.

Microsoft's own Windows Mobile system is mainly used on gadgets that would not benefit from the technology delivered by Seadragon.

"With Seadragon, users can get super-close in on a map or photo, with just a few pinches or taps of your finger. Browse an entire collection of photos from a single screen," says Microsoft.

Seadragon Mobile can be downloaded for free from the Apple iTunes App Store.
