Netgear has launched its next-generation Wireless-N family of Wi-Fi products incorporating internal antenna technology that helps increase range and bandwidth.

The new RangeMax Wireless-N product family is designed to reduce the effects of radio frequency interference and maximise network performance.

The offering includes the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router, RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router, the 5GHz Wireless-N HD Access Point/Bridge, the HD/Gaming 5GHz Wireless-N Networking Kit, and the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB Adapter.

The products are aimed at a growing number of bandwidth-intensive Wi-Fi applications, including streamed high-definition video and online gaming.

They incorporate multiple internal antenna arrays based on metamaterials technology. The unique wireless signal patterns and properties delivered by metamaterial antenna arrays help boost range and performance, said Netgear.

Netgear's Wireless-N products are based on the IEEE 802.11n Draft 2.0 specification, and have all been certified by the industry's Wi-Fi Alliance.
