Mid Cheshire Trust adopts electronic pharmacy management platform

Mid Cheshire NHS Hospitals Trust has selected the Ascribe Web Pharmacy system to improve its medicine management.

Mid Cheshire will use the system at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, where it will be used to integrate the hospital's pharmacy dispensary, stores, and finance and reporting systems.

It will also use a software interface to the hospital's existing patient administration system to enable a more comprehensive electronic patient record.

"Our decision to install Ascribe's Pharmacy is based upon the strengths of their clinical systems and the improvements that these bring to patient care," said Alan Denby, chief pharmacist at Leighton Hospital.
