Thomson Financial hires BT

Antony Savvas

Financial data services provider Thomson Financial (TF) has signed a global network services contract with BT Radianz to deliver its Thomson Data Feed (TDF) service.

BT Radianz will provide connectivity for TDF and other TF content to Thomson’s clients.

TF announced last week a global commercial agreement with Wombat Financial Software to embed its low latency technology with real-time TDF.

TF said the combination of TF and BT Radianz as the network and communications provider, along with the embedding of Wombat Financial Software technology within TDF, gives it a product which addresses all types of client application market data needs.

Chris Church, executive vice president for global sales at BT Radianz, said, “Speed continues to be a critical factor as trading strategies become more sophisticated and the timeframe in which the trade is executed grows smaller.  With a BT Radianz low latency connection to TF’s real-time content, firms gain access to the information they need to execute their strategies quickly and intelligently.”
