Tibco unveils toolkit beta

Tibco Software has announced a beta edition of its General Interface version 3.2 Ajax Rich Internet Application (RIA) toolkit, which is set to be launched with an open source license.

The software firm aims to use open source licensing to increase the use of its Ajax RIA libraries and visual tools among developers and businesses.

General Interface is part of Tibco’s suite of products aimed at developers building and maintaining service oriented architectures. It connects users to reusable data services and business processes through graphical user interfaces accessed through the web browser.

The 3.2 beta offers developers more than 100 ready-made components, along with visual layout, data management and communication tools. It also includes support for the open source Firefox 1.5 browser.
