Network Appliance has released two new midrange storage solutions designed to reduce costs and increase data storage accessibility.
The new products are the FAS3020 and FAS3050 midrange systems and the V3020 and V3050 V-Series virtualisation engines. All use NetApp’s Data Ontap 7G software, which is designed to help reduce operating costs.
NetApp claims the new FAS3000 series doubles the price/performance ratio of previous models and supports more users per system than previous offerings. The new FAS3000 series scales to 84Tbytes of data capacity.
The V3020 and V3050 systems increase the virtualisation capabilities of Data Ontap 7G by including additional third-party support for HP, Hitachi, IBM and Sun Microsystems storage solutions.
