Google is launching a beta version of a personalised home page service.
Similar to offerings already available from its main competitors, Yahoo and MSN, the Google service is designed to create greater user loyalty for Google’s services, such as search, e-mail and data storage.
Google expects this to increase advertising and marketing revenue.
Available content on Google’s personalised home page includes previews of messages from Google’s Gmail e-mail service, selected news feeds, and weather, financial and entertainment features.
Users put together the design of their home page via drag and drop commands.
