Microsoft releases Maestro beta version

Microsoft has released a beta version of its server-based business performance management product.

Microsoft has released a beta version of its server-based business performance management product.

The Maestro application is used with the Microsoft Office suite of products and allows firms to build, manage and use business scorecards and key performance indicators in a collaborative environment.

“Maestro is a key deliverable in our strategy for business intelligence (BI), bridging the gap between enterprise data sources and the information workers who need to view and analyse business information, as well as plan, make decisions and collaborate with others,” said Lewis Levin, Microsoft corporate vice president of Office business applications.

The solution enhances the BI technologies originally released by Microsoft in the Business Scorecard Accelerator.

Maestro has first been released to testing partners as part of a private beta release. A public beta version is scheduled for release this summer.
