GE Global adds BPI to software

GE Global Exchange Services has folded business process integration into its data integration broker so that companies can highlight and solve supply-chain problems faster.

The latest version of Enterprise System 7.5 e-Commerce Visibility Manager allows companies to map supply-chain processes to specific business objectives, measure purchasing patterns, view supply-chain metrics, and escalate issues to the correct decision maker.

Enhancements to Version 7.5 include BPI software templates for exception handling and functional acknowledgement tracking and reconciliation as well as support for secure Internet connectivity. Additional BPI software templates, each designed to address a specific supply-chain problem for buyers and sellers, will be released in coming months.

Today, the company will unveil intelligent software adapters designed to enable select ERP and CRM applications to connect to a wide variety of internal and external systems and trading partners in real time.

The intelligent adapters, which support applications from SAP, Oracle, Siebel, and MatrixOne, work in conjunction with the new commerce visibility manager to facilitate the exchange of information such as order status, inventory availability, and other key business data.

Both the new version of the broker and the intelligent adapters are available immediately.
