Thirty-seven entries were evaluated for the SearchWindowsSecurity.com awards, which were divided into Anti-x, Patch Management, and End Point Security categories.
The products were judged by TechTarget editors in conjunction with teams of users, industry experts, analysts and consultants. Judges evaluated Windows products introduced and shipped between Oct. 31, 2005, and Nov. 1, 2006. Gold, Silver and Bronze Award winners were selected by a panel of judges based on these six criteria: innovation, performance, ease of integration into existing environments, ease of use and manageability, functionality, and value.
Some of the Gold Award winners included Webroot Inc.'s Spy Sweeper Enterprise 3.0 was awarded Product of the Year in the Anti-x category. The top spot in the Patch Management category went to GFI Software's LANguard Network Security Scanner 7, and the Gold Award winner in the End Point Security category was FullArmor's GPAnywhere 2.5.
