Adobe Flash Media Server is now available on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Businesses will able able to stream video and social media applications through AWS using Amazon's cloud infrastructure.
Adobe Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 is available on AWS on a pay-as-you-go model, which Adobe says will reduce the cost of deployment.
"Adobe Flash Media Server on Amazon Web Services helps to reduce the costs associated with deploying advanced media experiences across multiple screens, including multi-user games, video chat and video streaming," said David Wadhwani, senior vice-president and general manager, Creative and Interactive Business Unit, Adobe.

Adobe said Flash Media Server on AWS allows users to run multicast and live packaging with HTTP Dynamic Streaming, RTMFP technology that reduces bandwidth usage, real-time interactive applications and peer-assisted communication - without the up-front investment in software licenses.
Adobe Flash Media Server for Amazon Web Services is available immediately in North America and the Asian Pacific American Coalition. Pricing starts at $5 per month with CPU charged from $0.44 per hour.
