Compuware delivers Adlex quality control

Software tools provider Compuware is planning to extend its tools family with the acquisition of US service delivery management company Adlex for £19m.

Adlex provides service delivery management technology to internet service providers and enterprise users, which is designed to diagnose and manage the quality of service of business-critical applications. Its customers include Nationwide Building Society, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, TNT, NTL and Vodafone.

Compuware said the Adlex technology will fit alongside its own Vantage product line by providing high-capacity, agentless end-user monitoring and delivering greater detail on application performance.

By measuring the quality of experience for the end-user, Adlex helps the world's largest organisations manage IT service delivery.

Adlex products for enterprise users and service providers include hardware and software components that easily and non-intrusively attach to a central point in the datacentre.
