Citrix Systems has released
Dazzle for Windows and Mac, a tool which allows end-users to
access enterprise applications via an online shop front.
The software provides corporate users with 24/7 self-service
access to a range of applications, desktops and content. Citrix has
also released Receiver, a lightweight software client, which
enables users to access enterprise applications from any device via
a virtual desktop environment.
According to Citrix, virtualising the desktop allows IT
departments to centralise management of employee desktops,
providing greater security, control and cost savings.
The company said virtualisation enables IT departments to roll
out Windows desktops as an on-demand service to any device. This
flexibility gives users the ability to work from any device they
choose, and to self-select the services they need, when they need
them, Citrix said.
