Business management software supplierCOA Solutionshas enhancedits websiteto make it easier forblind and partially sighted peopleto use.

The enhancements to make the site work with text-to-speech tools that read out the contents of web pages are part of a redesign of the company's website that is aimed at making relevant product information easier to find.

The redesigned website groups information by sector and includes RSS functionality for notifying users automatically when content is updated.

Mark Thompson, managing director of COA solutions, said, "By addressing all elements of the user experience, we hope that customers will find it easier to interact with us."

Local government came under criticism from the Society of Information Technology Management (Socitm) earlier this year when a report found only 8% of local government websites conformed with internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
