Friends Provident outsources server support

Financial service firm Friends Provident hasoutsourcedthe support of its 760 servers in the UK to ensure support for its entire range of products.

The company has a wide range of products to corporates and consumers such as life protection, income protection, pensions and investment product, which all need to be supported by computer systems.

The agreement with IT service provider Deverill ensures that all product engines are supported by one company.

Oliver Berry, server infrastructure manager at Friends Provident, said the servers are business critical and careful consideration had to be made when choosing a partner. "Our server infrastructure powers our business" he said.
