Dutch bankABN AMROis providing VocaLink with
access to its network to deliver global Euro payments globally when
the single euro payments area (Sepa) system comes into force next
month.
Following the launch of its
pan-European clearing system, VocaLink will be able to provide
processing of non-Euro payments transactions for its corporate
clients across the world, via ABN AMRO's network in 50
countries.
Mike Hampson, head of financial institutions transaction banking
at ABN AMRO, said the bank will provide reach to VocaLink, not just
for Sepa but for non-Sepa payments globally.
Martin Wilson, Chief Marketing Officer, VocaLink said, "This
partnership brings added value to the market enabling us to
introduce a new global service for Euro payments while supporting
the existing business models of our clients."
