Ciscowill collaborate withOraclein the development and
validation of Reliable Datagram Sockets, an acceleration protocol
to further scale Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) 11g using
InfiniBand.
These collaborative efforts support Data Centre 3.0, Cisco's
strategy to help its customers develop next generation
datacentres that optimise application performance, service
levels, efficiency and collaboration.
As enterprise application users demand higher performance and
productivity, Cisco and Oracle have collaborated to meet these
demands in several specific datacenter technology areas.
Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) products for
Wan optimisation, the Cisco Application Control Engine (ACE)
for application load-balancing, and the Cisco MDS 9000 series of
storage networking products have all been recently tested and
validated for deployment across multiple Oracle product
families.
For example, Cisco ACE and WAAS products working together have
been documented to increase performance for Oracle Fusion
Middleware and Oracle Applications 11i when accessed by remote
users across a wide area network.
