Business intelligence (BI) solutions provider
Business Objects is claiming a world’s first with the release of a
new integrated suite of enterprise performance management (EPM)
applications.
The new
BusinessObjects EPM XI is said to be the first of a new range of
unique performance management solutions designed to address real
business challenges for the CFO and operational decision makers
throughout businesses.

Enterprise Performance Management and Global Services, “The CFO’s
position has never been more challenging. BusinessObjects EPM XI
[offers] a complete view of performance from forecasts to
profitability and cost analysis through the financial close all
from a single integrated suite.”
The suite is
claimed to be the first EPM suite to incorporate
financially intelligent EPM, BI, data integration and data
quality capabilities. BusinessObjects EPM XI uses a single
integrated data model, the BusinessObjects IDM, which is the
cornerstone of the solution which is said to ensure data accuracy
and consistency across all EPM processes.
The integrated
solution will focuses on what teh technolgy firm says are its
customers’ biggest pain points: Instead of buying a set of
applications that must then be linked together, the vendor insists
that it will take care of the integration and software
reconciliation by delivering an all inclusive solution.
