Packet
Visionhas joined with Juniper Networks to
offer targeted, addressable and interactive advertising as part of
a bundle of services aimed at theIPTV industry.
Packet Vision and Juniper will market the services jointly to
IPTV operators in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
"By interoperating with Juniper's unique multiplay architecture,
our ability to enable targeted, addressable and interactive
advertising is enhanced, benefiting viewers, advertisers, IPTV
operators and broadcasters alike," said Richard George, general
manager for Packet Vision.
Packet Vision's service to broadcasters enables advertisers to
select their audience by geographic or demographic profile.
"Viewers see only advertising that is relevant to them,
resulting in better engagement and less waste for advertisers,"
said George.
The system includes an ad server, splicer and router in a single
rack-mountable box at the operator's network, which interacts with
an ad campaign management system hosted by Packet Vision.
Doug Erickson, director of worldwide alliance and channel
development at Juniper, welcomed Packet Vision to the
J-Partner
Solutions Alliance Program. He said the partnership would
enable service providers to tap into additional revenue from
IPTV.
