Expenditure on
enterprise content management technology is holding up, despite
lower costs per-seat.
AIIM Europe, the enterprise content management (ECM) industry
association, has released expenditure figures from its roadshow
attendees in five UK cities last month.
AIIM said sales were holding steady despite general falling
costs per-seat. Whilst 19% of respondents said their organisation
has an anticipated total spend in the next 12 months of over
£200,000, the anticipated spend of 8% of respondents is in excess
of £1m.
A further 41% have budgets of between £10,000 and £200,000.
These figures match last year’s survey results to within 1% or 2%,
said AIMM.
Document management,
records management and forms capture remain the products of
most interest, said AIMM, followed by
e-mail management and workflow.
The associated technologies of
collaboration,
web content management,
invoice processing, digital mailroom and
enterprise search were all on the shopping list of at least one
in five roadshow visitors, which totalled 1,100 across the five
cities.
The 2008 AIIM Roadshow will visit Glasgow, Bolton, Coventry,
Bristol and London in late April and early May.
