Fedora Legacy, the project to deliver long-term support
to older versions of the hobbyist Linux OS, is shutting
down.
The free Fedora OS is distributed by Red Hat, and is seen as a
testing ground for software that can be used in the fully-supported
Red Hat Linux distribution.
But a lack of developer community involvement and operating
cash, say the organisers, is to blame for the demise of Fedora
Legacy.
Red Hat released Fedora Core 6 last autumn. With the demise of
Fedora Legacy, older versions will now no longer be supported.
