Identity management consortium Liberty Alliance has
launched this year’s Identity Deployment of the Year
awards.
The IDDY awards were established to recognise the best ID
management deployments and the value they bring to businesses,
governments, citizens and consumers around the world.
Nominations for the 2006 awards are open until 21 August, with
the winners to be announced on 13 September at the Digital Identity
World event in California.
The judging panel for the awards includes technology, policy and
identity management experts. They will assess entries, looking at
the benefits ID management deployments have delivered, the return
on investment and how each deployment has addressed key issues,
including reducing identity theft, meeting regulatory requirements
or increasing privacy protection.
Individuals or organisations interested in nominating an ID
management deployment for the 2006 IDDY Award should visit
