IT managers can spearhead efficiencies in their
companies by using open standards Eclipse-based tools to
restructure their business processes.
One company that has taken this approach is global travel
provider Maritz Travel.
The firm will use Lombardi Software’s Teamworks tool to optimise
its business processes, primarily so it can offer its customers a
better service.
Teamworks is based on Eclipse, and Maritz plans to use it to
optimise core processes which include proposal development,
sourcing, pricing and attendee management.
Teamworks is a software modelling platform, which enables the
user to design, execute and improve business processes.
The product has a web portal interface through which individuals
can collaborate in the process management exercise, and thereby
have an input into how processes work. Lombardi users include Dell,
Hasbro and Pfizer.
