The OpenAjax initiative has won the support of both SAP
and Adobe, among others.
OpenAjax is a group of suppliers looking to make maximum use out
of the Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) web-scripting
language for their products.
Among a number of other new participants, Intel, Software AG and
Tibco have also joined OpenAjax.
Ajax allows developers to include more interactive user
interfaces in web applications.
OpenAjax, launched this year, seeks to simplify Ajaxprogramming
to make delivering these interfaces easier, particularly as there
aren’t many AJAX specialists currently on the job market.
OpenAjax is also seeking to ensure that Ajax can be easily used
on mobile devices too, as well as all other platforms.
Existing OpenAjax members include BEA Systems, Borland Software,
the Eclipse Foundation, Google, Novell, Oracle, Red Hat, and
